42 student-athletes earn spring Academic All-Region honors

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has announced its Academic All-Region teams for the spring semester, and Marshalltown Community College was well represented. 42 student-athletes, including 15 first-team selections, across four sports earned recognition from the region for their success in the classroom.

Academic All-Region requirements consist of maintaining a grade point average of 3.5 or better for first-team honors and a grade point average between 3.0 and 3.49 for second-team honors.

The MCC baseball team placed 22 players on the team, including seven first-team selections. The softball team had three first-team honorees and nine selections total. The men's basketball team had seven members named to the Academic All-Region team with one member on the first-team while the women's basketball team had four first-team selections.
