Solsona and Vidovic Student-Athletes of the Month

Freshman Clara Solsona and sophomore Goran Vidovic have been named the Student-Athletes of the Month for the month of January.

Solsona, a Premia de Dalt, Spain native, is currently averaging 9.2 points per game, good for second best on the Tiger squad. Primarily running the point, she also leads the team in assists per game with 1.9. During the month of January coming off of an ankle injury suffered in early December, she scored 69 total points and tallied 16 assist over a six game stretch. She dropped her highest point total of the season thus far, 22, against ICCAC rival Iowa Western on January 23rd. She also hit double digits against Grandview (16 points), Northeast (10 points), and Southeastern (11 points). In the classroom during the fall semester she earned a 4.0 grade point average, landing her atop the MCC Dean's List as well as on the ICCAC Academic All-Region 1st team.

Vidovic who hails from Novi Sad, Serbia, is averaging 12 points per game and 5.4 boards per game. Both efforts are second highest on the team. During the month of January, Vidovic hit double figures in every game but one, with his January high score coming in a victory against John Wood where he dropped 15 while bringing down 7 boards. He then went on a three game stretch chipping in ten points for the Tigers. In the classroom during the fall semester, he earned a 3.73 grade point average and a spot on the ICCAC Academic All-Region 1st team. Over his academic career he has amassed a 3.4 GPA and will graduate in May with an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts.
