Weather has kept the Marshalltown Community College baseball team stagnant for the last week, but the frigid temperatures did not hold the team from getting outdoors on Wednesday as the Tigers gathered to help clean up the MCC campus.

The team helped get the campus prepared for the upcoming spring season by collecting trash and debris that has accumulated throughout the grounds over the long winter here in Marshalltown.

"It was great to get out and help around the campus," said freshman Parker Rolfes. "We take pride in this campus and we want everyone to enjoy it as much as we do."

Assistant coach Tanner McLaughlin commended the team for their work around the campus. "With so much time off due to the weather, our guys took it upon themselves to get out and help the school."

After nearly two weeks off, the Tigers return to action with a four-game set at Iowa Western Community College on Saturday and Sunday.
