The Tiger Athletic Club hosted its third installment of its Meet the Team luncheon on Friday afternoon as the Marshalltown Community College baseball team spoke at the gathering.

A trio of sophomore players, Ty Russell (Victoria, BC/Lambrick Park), John Bloom (Laurel, IA/East Marshall), and Corey Ceponis (Chicago, IL/Curie) joined head coach Rich Grife in speaking to the Tiger Athletic Club members about the 2014 season.

Grife discussed the early portion of the schedule that has led the Tigers to an 8-12 mark. Weather has forced the Tigers to hold most of the team's practices indoors this season along with multiple cancellations, but the players expressed their excitement for warmer temperatures and the chance to get back into the groove of playing every day.

Members of the TAC were introduced to the players and the journey that led them to Marshalltown and the experiences they have encountered while being a student-athlete at MCC.
