Freshman Bennett Lopez (Dorado, PR/PRBA) has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division I Player of the Week for the week ending April 19. Lopez batted .364 last week to lead the Tigers to a 4-2 record.

Lopez posted three games of at least two hits, including a 3-4 performance on Sunday against Muscatine Community College. The shortstop went 2-5 in a 6-5 win over Iowa Central Community College on Tuesday and added two more hits in the series finale against Muscatine, a 16-1 drubbing of the Cardinals.

Lopez also scored five runs and drove in five more.

The freshman is leading the Tigers with a .338 batting average and 27 RBI on the year.
