Trojans Take Tigers in Five

The MCC baseball team traveled to Mason City, Iowa on Tuesday morning to play a single nine-inning game against the Trojans of North Iowa Are Community College. The Tigers fell 17-9 to the Trojans back on April 20, and failed to pick up the win, falling 11-0 Tuesday afternoon.

Game One: Lost 11-0

The Tigers struggled at the plate all game long, recording only two hits. Jose Mieses and Brodie Paulson recorded the only hits, each going 1-2 at the plate with each hitting doubles. The Tigers were walked three times and left all five base runners on base. The Trojans added single runs in the first and third and poured it on in the final two innings, scoring nine runs to take the game 11-0.

The baseball team will back in action Wednesday when they host the Spartans of Southwestern Community College in a pair of make-up games. The Tigers are 4-2 against the Spartans this season with 10 conference games left. Wednesday's doubleheader at Shawn Williams Field is set for a 1:00 PM start.
