Preston Bailey announced Assistant Baseball Coach

The Marshalltown Community College Baseball Program and Head Coach Anthony Everman has announced the hiring of Preston Bailey as an Assistant Coach for Tigers. This is Bailey's first coaching appointment after a successful playing career at both the collegiate and professional level. Bailey's focus will be assisting the pitchers on the mound, as well as recruiting.

Bailey was a standout pitcher at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri where he is still the All-Time saves leader for the Griffons. While at Missouri Western State, he was twice selected to the All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Team. He also led the Griffons to two NCAA Regional appearances.

Hailing from Savannah, Missouri, Bailey graduated from Savannah High School in 2013. He went on to play at Kansas City Kansas Community College, where he started two years as a pitcher prior to playing for the Griffons. He also played a year of Professional baseball with the Roswell Invaders in Roswell, New Mexico.

"Coach Bailey will bring a lot of positive perspective to our staff, having played at the Junior College, D2, and professional levels of baseball. We are looking forward to having another coach on the road recruiting and on the field helping to develop our current players," Everman said of Bailey.
