The Marshalltown Community College Baseball program will host its first annual Leadoff Coaches Clinic and Fundraising Dinner on the MCC campus on Saturday, January 26.
The coaching clinic will feature nine speakers including seven current baseball coaches, one Division I strength coach and an award-winning Sports Turf manager. The speakers will cover a number of topics ranging from coaching strategy, practice drills, field maintenance techniques, strength training programs and leadership development.
The speakers include: Anthony Everman, MCC Head Baseball Coach; Connor Dawson, MCC Assistant Baseball Coach; Jarret DeHart, Organizational Hitting Coach Seattle Mariners; Ryan Parker, Private Hitting Coach Dallas, TX; Ean McNeal, Private Pitching Coach/Programmer Cedar Rapids, IA; Steve Hanson, Marshalltown High School Head Coach; Casey Klunder Waverly Shell Rock High School; Scott Bird, Experienced Strength & Conditioning Coach - Power 5 Level; Adam Hilker, Morningside College Pitching Coach and Doug Watt West Marshall High School Sports Turf Manager.

Admission for the coaches clinic is $50 per coach. The clinic will begin at 11 am, with the first speaker scheduled to start at 11:15 am. Presentations will be approximately 45 minutes each and will run throughout the day.
The fundraising dinner is geared towards area coaches and program supporters that want to learn more about the MCC baseball program. Social hour will begin at 6 pm with the dinner and program to follow at 7 pm. Silent auction items will be on display throughout the day. All funds raised from the silent auction items and dinner tickets sales will go directly to the MCC Baseball Program. The cost of a ticket to the fundraising dinner is $25 per person.
