
Marshalltown Community College baseball is proud to announce that five players received DI Iowa Community College Athletic Association Conference (ICCAC) All-Region honors. Austin Gurney and Miguel Padron received First Team All-Region and Ryan Gouldin, Matt Shanline and Kyle Magdic received Second Team All-Region honors.
Gurney, a sophomore from Campbell River, BC, Canada, and an infielder, hit 12 homers, 43 RBIs, and batted .299. He had a slugging percentage of .563 and his on base percentage was at .374.
Padron, a freshman from San Joaquin, Venezuela was a designated hitter for the Tigers. He had 62 hits and nine doubles. Padron was fifth in average at .363 and an on-base percentage at .449.
Sophomore, Gouldin, from Firth, NE, had 35 RBI's, 10 homeruns and 32 runs with a .264 batting average.
Shanline was on the mound for the Tigers this season. The freshman from Pratt, KS, started 7 out of his 10 game appearances and had an average 8.23 strikeouts per game.
Magdic, a freshman from Lincoln, ON, Canada, rounds out the All-Region players for this season for the Tigers. He had 30 runs, 48 hits this season including 14 doubles. He had a .302 batting average
