The Marshalltown Community College Cheer and Dance team will be hosting a youth camp for the second consecutive year. The camp will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Student Activity Center.
The camp will be split into two time frames. The early portion of the camp will be held for boys and girls in 1st – 3rd grade and will run from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The group will then later perform at halftime of the MCC Women’s Basketball game as the Tigers host Kansas City Kansas Community College at 5:00 PM as part of the Emerson Classic.
The second portion of the camp will be held for boys and girls in 4th – 6th grade and will run from 12:30 PM until 3:30 PM. The group will perform at halftime of the MCC men’s basketball game that night, also part of the Emerson Classic. The Tigers will take on Highland Community College at 7:00 PM.
Campers will receive individual instruction on learning dance routines, cheers, chants, and much more. Each camper will receive a t-shirt along with a MCC dance team poster.
Discounted ticket prices for each game will be available at the time of registration. Discounted prices consist of $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. Children under the age of 12, along with campers, receive free admission.
