The Tiger Men's Basketball team (21-7, 2-4) shook off a cold shooting night, posting a 59-56 win over Iowa Central Community College (15-11).
The Tigers struggled early from the floor hitting just 2 of their first 10 shots in the opening half. MCC took a 29-25 advantage into halftime break. The Tigers shot an identical clip in the second half connection on 41 percent of their shots.
MCC was led by sophomore Matej Delinac (Toronto, Canada), with 17 points. MCC leading scorer, sophomore Chris Caird (England) was held to just 8 points on the evening. Caird averages 18 points per game on the season. The sophomore contributed on the boards, pulling down a team high 8 rebounds.
MCC closes out their regular season home play Saturday, hosting NJCAA Division II 9th ranked Iowa Western Community College. The Tigers lost their first meeting with the Reivers on January 23rd in Council Bluffs 79-66. Saturday's contest starts at 7 pm.
