Sherman Blanford signs pro contract in Luxembourg
July 30, 2014Sherman Blanford, a two-year standout for the Marshalltown Community College men’s basketball team from 2010-2012, has signed a professional contract to play for Sparta Bertrange in Luxembourg. Blanford finished up his collegiate career at Eastern Illinois University. -
Rodriguez shines at JUCO All-American Showcase
July 21, 2014Marshalltown Community College men’s basketball player Mike Rodriguez (Boston, MA/Redemption Christian Academy) had the opportunity to display his talents to some of the top Division I coaches across the country this past weekend as the sophomore participated in the All-American JUCO Showcase Elite 80 in Atlanta, GA.

Carter signs to play Division I basketball at Florida International
May 21, 2014Troidell Carter (Lilburn, GA/Meadowcreek), a two-year member of the Marshalltown Community College men’s basketball team, has signed his National Letter of Intent to play Division I basketball at Florida International University next year. Carter will play for the Panthers under head coach Anthony Evans.

Will Clyburn to host summer camp at MCC
April 29, 2014Former Marshalltown Community College basketball standout Will Clyburn will return to the MCC campus to host the first-ever Will Clyburn Basketball Camp from June 9-12. The camp will be held at the Student Activity Center on the campus of MCC.
