Will Clyburn inks professional contract in Germany

Former Marshalltown Community College men's basketball standout Will Clyburn has signed a professional contract in Germany to play with Ratiopharm Ulm of the Bundesliga league. Clyburn was a member of the Tigers' basketball team from 2008-2010.

The Rabbits finished third in the league last season and were runners-up in the German Cup, the top national basketball competition in Germany. The team also qualified for the Eurocup where the team was knocked out in the semi-final round. Former Butler University standout Matt Howard, who helped lead the Bulldogs to two NCAA Division I National Championship appearances, is also a member of Ratiopharm.

After going undrafted out of Iowa State in 2013, Clyburn signed with the Sacramento Kings and participated in the team's summer league in Las Vegas, NV. Clyburn played in five games, averaging over 15 minutes per game while 7.4 points and grabbing 3.0 rebounds per contest.

Clyburn was a two-time All-Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) selection at MCC, including a first-team pick in 2010. After two years at MCC Clyburn transferred to the University of Utah for one season and finished his college career at Iowa State.
