Will Clyburn to play in top Turkish league

Former Marshalltown Community College Men's Basketball player Will Clyburn has found a new home in the professional ranks and will join Darusssafaka Dogus, located in Istanbul, Turkey.

Clyburn joins Darusssafaka, a member of the Turkish Basketball Super League, after leading the Israeli League in scoring with Hapoel Holon last season. Clyburn averaged 20.9 points in 33 games last year while grabbing 8.3 rebounds per contest.

Darusssafaka is coached by David Blatt, former coach of the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers. Clyburn has signed a one-year contract with the team with an option for a second season.

Following his tenure at MCC from 2008-2010, Clyburn moved on to the University of Utah before heading to Iowa State University in 2012-13. Darusssafaka will be Clyburn's third professional team since finishing his collegiate career, having begun his career with Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany prior to Hapoel Holon.
