2016 Fall Academic All-Region Team

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has announced its Academic All-Region teams for the fall semester, and Marshalltown Community College was well represented. 38 student-athletes, including 18 first-team honorees, across four sports earned recognition from the region for their success in the classroom.

Academic All-Region requirements consist of maintaining a grade point average of 3.5 or better for first-team honors and a grade point average between 3.0 and 3.49 for second-team honors.

The MCC men's soccer team placed 16 players on the team, including nine first-team selections. The volleyballl team had all eight members of the team earn academic honors, with three on the first-team. The men's basketball team had nine members named to the Academic All-Region team with four members on the first-team while the women's basketball team had five first-team selections.
