Marshalltown Community College's Mohamed Thiam has finished an amazing career as a part of the men's basketball team, earning his fourth ICCAC Athlete of the Week honor of the year. The sophomore standout led the Tigers to two victories over State Fair Community College and Northeast Community College last week. Scoring 53 points, the #6 junior college prospect in the country was an impressive 22-36 from the field and 8-16 from behind the arch.
With the Tiger's season coming to an end Monday night, Thiam finished his sophomore season ranked 9th in the NJCAA in total points scored with 592. He also breaks the top 50 in points per game with 19.7 and rebounds per game with 9.6. Thiam is being heavily recruiting by NCAA Division I schools, but he is unsure where he will take his talents next year.
