The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) announced the All-Region selections for Division I basketball Tuesday afternoon. Marshalltown Community College's Oscar Kao was named 2nd Team All-Region. Kao had an impressive freshman season for the Tigers, being named ICCAC Athlete of the week twice. Kao finished the season scoring 403 total points, averaging 13.4 points a game.
Kao showed his athletic ability all season long, making impressive plays every game. The Taipei, Taiwan native consistently made the plays needed to stay in close games or put the Tigers over the top, recording 81 assists and 31 steals on the year while shooting 44.3% from the field. Kao will be a welcomed returner next season and will be a key player to build around.
