Three sign to play at William Penn University

Three members of the Marshalltown Community College men's soccer team signed their official letters of intent to play at William Penn University next year. Kollie Jomah, Andrew Valett, and Ralph Duopu will suit up for the Statesmen in 2014.

Duopu was a two-year member for the Tigers and was named a captain of the squad in 2013. The sophomore scored three goals and assisted on three more during his final season at MCC while playing in 20 games at the midfield position.

Valett was also a two-year player for the Tigers. Valett played in 32 career games, scoring three goals and tallying three assists. Both Duopu and Valett helped the Tigers post a record of 28-10-3 during their two year tenure and reached the NJCAA National Tournament in 2012.

Jomah came to Marshalltown from Oak Park, MI and redshirted his only year at MCC.

The Statesmen finished the 2013 season with a 10-8-2 record under first year head coach Raphael Martinez and are members of the Midwest Collegiate Conference, part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
