    Felipe Palacios of Palm Beach, FL made an official visit and signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Marshalltown Community College men’s soccer team on Tuesday afternoon. Palacios was joined by his parents and MCC head coach Rafael Martinez at his signing.

    For the second consecutive year, Marshalltown Community College men’s soccer player Juan Carrillo has earned NJCAA Division I All-American honors. In his final season as a Tiger, Carrillo was named to the third team.

    Eight members of the Marshalltown Community College men’s soccer team were selected to the All-Region XI team, including three first team selections for the Tigers. 2014 marks the fourth consecutive year the Tigers have placed at least six players on the all-region team.
  • MCC jerseys signed by Lauren Hill will be auctioned off

    The Marshalltown Community College athletic department donated two retro No. 22 jerseys that have been put up for auction to benefit Lauren Hill and The Cure Starts Now Foundation. Hill, a member of the Mount St. Joseph’s women’s basketball team, has been diagnosed with a rare cancer known as Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).

    Des Moines, IA—The Marshalltown Community College men’s soccer season came to an end on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-1 to Iowa Lakes Community College in the Region XI Tournament semi-final round. The Tigers finish the year with a 13-7 overall record.

The Tigers are ranked No. 20 in the NSCAA and received votes in the NJCAA.

    Mason City, IA—Sophomore Juan Carrillo (Cordoba, Spain/CES Lope de Vega) scored the team’s first goal of the match, and later assisted on another to become the all-time assists leader in Marshalltown Community College men’s soccer history as the Tigers dropped North Iowa Area Community College 4-1 on Tuesday afternoon in the team’s regular season finale.
