Two wins last week helped the Marshalltown Community College Men's Soccer move up one spot in this week's NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer poll to No. 9. The Tigers are ranked No. 10 in the NSCAA Division I Men's Soccer poll, up one spot from last week as well.

The Tigers (9-0-1/6-0-1) defeated Iowa Lakes Community College 3-2 on Sept. 23 and wrapped up the week with a 1-0 win at North Iowa Area Community College on Sept. 26 to remain undefeated and in a first-place tie with Iowa Western Community College, ranked No. 8 in the NJCAA poll and No. 9 in the NSCAA poll, in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC).

MCC's shutout streak ended at five games and a span of 569:16 against Iowa Lakes on Wednesday, but the Tigers secured their sixth shutout of the year after blanking NIACC on Saturday.

The jump in the polls improves on the Tigers' highest national ranking since 2007 when that year's squad finished the season at No. 3.

The Tigers return to action with a nonconference contest at home against William Penn JV at 4:00 PM on Tuesday afternoon.
