The Marshalltown Community College Men's Soccer team appeared in the first rankings of the 2016 regular season in both the NJCAA and NSCAA Division I Men's Soccer polls, coming in at No. 17 in each. The Tigers are currently 3-1-0 on the year.

MCC went 1-1-0 last week, defeating Carl Sandburg College 8-0 at home on Wednesday, but suffered a 2-1 defeat to Indian Hills Community College on Saturday. The loss was the first regular season defeat in 25 matches for the Tigers, dating back to Oct. 15, 2014.

With the Tigers appearance in this week's polls, MCC has now been ranked in 14 consecutive polls. The Tigers were ranked No. 7 in this year's preseason poll.

The Tigers (3-1-0) have been led by freshman Kino Ryosuke (Hyogo, Japan/Takigawadaini) who is tied for first in the nation with six goals while his team-best 14 points are tied for third in the Nation.

MCC looks to rebound from Saturday's loss with a 4:00 PM matchup at Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) foe Iowa Lakes Community College on Tuesday evening.
