Tigers defeat Scott 11-1

The #11 MCC Tigers traveled to Bettendorf Iowa to take on the Eagles of Scott Community College. The undefeated Tigers dominated the pitch for 90 minutes of play scoring eleven goals while surrendering only one. ICCAC's Men's Soccer Player of the Week, sophomore  forward Kino Ryosuke, got the Tigers off to a fast start when he scored the game's first goal with an assist from David Kromah just two minutes in. Ryosuke would score again just three minutes later from a pass from Rafael Vacas to put the Tigers up 2-0 in the first five minutes. Shortly after, mid fielder Rafael Vacas would find the net with help from Enoko Lasheras. In the fifteenth minute Kino Ryosuke would strike again for the Tigers, scoring his third goal of the game, giving the Tigers a 4-0 lead. The final goal on the first half came from Taiki Kinugawa and assisted by Leonardo Tomasi, Tigers held a 5-0 lead at the end of the first half.

The Tigers refused to let up in the second half, as again the team was able to strike fast and add a goal in the first few minutes of play. David Kromah connected with Rafael Vacas in the forty-seventh minute of the game to extend the Tiger lead to six. The final twenty minutes of play saw goals from Torachio Machida, Andre Luis, another goal by David Kromah, and two goals by Bruno Osorio. The Eagles Dario Gonzalez scored in the eighty-eighth minute to finish the game 11-1. Tiger goalkeeper Juan Gonzalez played all ninety minutes and recorded one save on the day.

"The team played great right from the start," stated Coach Chris Fuchsen after the game, "it was a great team performance all the way through. We had the right combination of intensity, focus and quality in execution from the start of the game all the way to the final whistle."

The Tigers will try to move to 7-0 Saturday the 23rd when they travel to Spencer Iowa to take on the Lakers of Iowa Lakes Community College. The game will start at 2:00.
