Two Tiger athletes where selected by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference for Athlete of the Week honors for their performances from September 25 to October 1. MCC's Kino Ryosuke and Jesenia Colbert received the award for men's soccer and women's volleyball.

Jesenia Colbert competed in four matches while totaling 62 kills. She currently has 245 kills on the season, which is good enough for 10th in the nation.  A dominant force on the outside for the Tigers, Colbert is also ranked 28th in the nation with 3.27 kills per set.

The pair will be back in action this week as the men's soccer team will travel to Dakota County Community College to take on the Wood Ducks on Saturday before heading to Minneapolis for a matchup with Century College. The Tiger volleyball team will take on Iowa Western Wednesday night in the Student Activity Center and then travel to Mason City for a tournament on the NIACC campus this Saturday.
