Kino Ryosuke Receives Male Athlete of the Year

The Marshalltown Community College Athletic Department announced its Male Athlete of the Year at the Student Senate Honors & Recognition Reception on Wednesday, April 25. MCC Athletic Director, Kathleen Brown, honored sophomore Kino Ryosuke as the Male Athlete of the Year.

Ryosuke was a standout forward the last two season on the pitch, breaking the MCC all-time scoring record with 41 career goals. His play this past season earned him a spot as a NJCAA 2nd Team All-American. Ryosuke will be taking his talents to the University of Louisville next season.

"Kino has exhibited a ton of growth since he came to campus two years ago, stated MCC Athletic Director Kathleen Brown. "His growth is not just seen on the soccer field, but in the classroom as well. He has built confidence both on and off of the field, and this has enabled him to be a leader on campus. He works extremely hard when he puts his mind to something which will continue to bring him great success at Louisville."
