Men's Soccer Adds Kenlove Solon

Marshalltown, Iowa - Head Soccer Coach, Rafael Martinez announced Monday, the addition of Kenlove Solon to the 2018 MCC Soccer team. Kenlove is the son of Kaith and Michlyn Newman, and played his High School and club soccer in St. Paul Minnesota. An accomplished player on the field, Solon has tallied 47 goals and 29 assists in his high school career. His accomplishments have earned him All-Conference honors three times, All-State honors twice, and was a finalist for the Minnesota Mr. Soccer award during his senior campaign.

"We are very excited about Kenlove's commitment to Marshalltown Community College," stated Head Coach Rafael Martinez. "He is an attaching player who we expect will fight for playing time on day one. Kenlove and his family have been very thoughtful and reflective throughout the recruiting process so we are extremely happy they have decided MCC is the right institution for him. I can't wait to see him wearing an MCC jersey."

While at MCC, Solon will major in welding.
