Former Tiger Earns Player of the Week Honors in PDL

Former Marshalltown Community College standout soccer player, Kino Ryosuke, has made his presence felt in the Premier Development League this summer. While playing for the Des Moines Menace, Ryosuke has scored a pair of goals in each of their first three games and earned Premier Development League Player of the Week honors.

Ryosuke scored twice in Des Moines' 3-0 Opening Night win over WSA Winnipeg last Thursday at Valley Stadium, and he repeated this feat two days later in a 4-1 road victory against the St. Louis Lions. A native of Hyogo, Japan, Ryosuke is transferring to Louisville after a couple record-breaking years with the Tigers. Ryosuke is the Menace's first PDL Player of the Week since Chris Hellmann (July 3, 2014 and July 23, 2015). A pair of the Ryosuke's teammates, defenders Biko Brennan and Wilfred Williams, were named to the TopDrawerSoccer PDL Central Conference Team of the Week.

The Des Moines Menace provides the highest level of soccer in Iowa. In its 25th season, the Menace men's team competes in the Premier Development League and are members of the Central Conference. Entering its seventh season, the Menace women's team is part of the Women's Premier Soccer League. With loyal support, the Menace men's and women's teams play their home games at the Valley Stadium in West Des Moines to provide family-fun entertainment. The Menace organization promotes the growth of soccer through the Junior Menace (ages 3-9), Menace Academy (ages six and older), and tournaments, camps and clinics.
