Ames, IA – The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference announced the Athlete of the Week winners for the week of August 22 through September 2. Marshalltown Community College Goalkeeper, Joel Serrano was selected as Goalkeeper of the Week.
In the four games Serrano has played, he recorded 10 saves while only allowing one goal. Serrano is one in a long line of successful goalkeepers for MCC, currently the sophomore goalkeeper is playing for the Puerto Rican National Team. Gone for a few games this week, Serrano missed Wednesdays game against Hawkeye Community College and will miss Saturday's game against the Tritons of Iowa Central Community College.
