Tigers Soar to 2nd in NJCAA

In the latest poll released by the NJCAA, the Marshalltown Men's Soccer team has claimed the second spot. This is the highest national rating for any sport in MCC athletics history. The team currently sits with a 15-1 overall record, 9-1 within the ICCAC. The Tigers secured the ICCAC Regular Season Championship on Saturday which guarantees home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Decisive shutouts last week versus Hawkeye Community College and William Penn's JV squad helped elevate the team four slots from last week (6th). The Tigers success can be attributed in part to their stingy defense, which is currently ranked 3rd within the NJCAA.

The Tigers will have a week of rest before they take the field in the ICCAC semi-finals on Tuesday, October 23rd. The game is set to kick off at 2PM and will be against the winner of the Iowa Central/Iowa Western game to be played on Saturday, October 20th.
