Marshalltown Community College soccer's Rayane El Mehdi has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 26-Oct. 2. 

El Mehdi, a sophomore goalkeeper from Casablanca, Morocco, protected the goal in the Tigers' win over #11 Iowa Lakes 2-1. The quick hands of El Mehdi held the Laker attack to just one goal on seven shots. He made six saves in the match, giving him 25 saves in four games this season. In 360 minutes, El Mehdi has allowed nine goals this season.
