Freshman Lexie Biehl (Maquoketa, IA/Maquoketa) of the Marshalltown Community College softball team has continued to pace the Tiger offense and has been rewarded as the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this year. Biehl helped lead MCC to three wins last week.

Biehl continued to put up impressive numbers as the freshman went 11-18 over the course of five games last week where the Tigers went 3-2. Biehl belted two home runs, two doubles, and drove in 15 runs while scoring eight times as MCC outscored its opponents 48-17 during the week.

At the Minnesota Classic in Rosemount, MN, Biehl erupted for five hits, including two home runs and a double as the freshman drove in a career-high nine RBI in a 23-1 win over Mesabi Range CTC. The Tigers picked up two more wins on the day as Biehl finished the morning 10-13 at the plate.

In a pair of losses to NJCAA Division I Iowa Western Community College, Biehl drove in the team's only run of the afternoon, an RBI double in the nightcap.

Biehl currently leads the ICCAC in RBI (27), slugging percentage (.958), and ranks second in hits (27), and average (.562).
