The Marshalltown Community College softball team placed 10 players on the 2014 All-Region XI squad, including four players on the first-team. The 10 players tie a program record, set in 2008.

Sophomore Sarah Wilson (Ottumwa, IA/Ottumwa) and Mackenzie Gott (Oskaloosa, IA/Oskaloosa) joined freshmen Lexie Biehl (Maquoketa, IA/Maquoketa) and Tacie Blunk (Boone, IA/Boone) on the first-team while Brooke Dunkin (Bussey, IA/Twin Cedars) was the lone Tiger on the second-team. Holli Baker (Grimes, IA/Dallas Center-Grimes), McKenna Hotopp (State Center, IA/West Marshall), Emmeline Huffaker (Baxter, IA/Baxter) Brianna James (Lynnville, IA/Lynnville-Sully) and Kyndal Milder (Columbus Junction, IA/Columbus) were all named to the Honorable Mention team.

Wilson was the Region's utility selection on the first-team after being named to the Honorable Mention team as a freshman in 2013. The sophomore finished fourth in the nation with 206 strikeouts in the circle. Gott was also a utility selection after recording eight wins in the circle and batting .371 at the plate.

Biehl powered the Tiger offense in 2014 and led the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) in batting average, on-base percentage, hits, and doubles. Blunk finished second on the team with a .426 batting average and drove in 40 runs on the year.

Dunkin is a repeat selection to the All-Region team after the Tigers' primary catcher was an Honorable Mention choice in 2013. Dunkin batted .416 on the year and scored 53 runs.

Despite a midseason injury, Baker managed to bat .388 at the plate and connected on seven home runs while also appearing in nine games as a pitcher. Hotopp collected 40 hits and scored 22 runs during her inaugural year as a Tiger. Huffaker and Milder served as the team's primary outfielders throughout the year and combined for 42 runs scored. James recorded seven wins in the circle and struck out 38 batters.

The four first-team selections are the most in program history. The Tigers have now placed at least six players on the all-region teams for the fifth straight season.

MCC finished the season with a 33-16 record.
