Rosemount, MN—The Marshalltown Community College softball team suffered two losses on its opening day of play Thursday, falling 15-3 to North Iowa Area Community College in the opener and 19-0 to Iowa Central Community College, both in five innings, at the Winter Indoor Classic in the Irish Sports Dome.

Six different players collected a hit for the Tigers in the opening loss to NIACC. Chezarae Garcia (Ogden, UT/Ogden) and Raini Hilmer (Dysart, IA/Union) scored the two runs for MCC. Cass Vasquez (Los Angeles, CA/Oscar De La Hoya) took the loss against the Trojans.

The Tigers return to action tomorrow at the Irish Sports Dome, taking on NIACC at 10:00 AM and AIB JV at 12:00 PM.
