Two former Marshalltown Community College softball players have continued their playing careers at the next level following their tenure as a Tiger. Pitchers Stacy Roggentien of Iowa State University and Sarah Wilson of Friends University have contributed major innings for their respective teams.

Roggentien, a member of the 2012 and 2013 MCC softball teams, has appeared in a team-high 23 games in the circle for the NCAA Division I Cyclones in 2015, posting a 6-3 record with one save in 61 innings pitched. Roggentien is tied for the team-lead with 43 strikeouts. Iowa State is currently 19-14 overall on the year.

During her first-year at Iowa State, Roggentien appeared in 17 games, making two starts in the circle. Roggentien combined to pitch a no-hitter against Jackson State.

As a Tiger, Roggentien pitched in 262 innings over her two-year career. The right-hander posted a 19-16 overall record and struck out 188 batters. As a sophomore, she was named a Second-Team All-Region XI selection and was named to the Honorable Mention team as a freshman.

Wilson has helped the Falcons to a 23-15 overall record and are tied for first place in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) with an 8-2 league mark. The junior has appeared in 18 games with 14 starts. Wilson has posted a 5-5 record with one save in 55.1 innings of work. The right-hander has struck out 52 batters, second-most for the Falcons this year.

Wilson was named the first KCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week to start the 2015 season after tossing two complete game shutouts, including a seven inning win against Southwestern Christian where Wilson struck out 11 batters.

At MCC, Wilson was an integral part to the Tigers' school-record 33 wins in 2014. Wilson went 16-8 in the circle, pitching 19 complete games while striking out 206 batters which ranked fourth among all NJCAA Division II pitchers. She was named to the First-Team All-Region XI squad as a sophomore and was also a two-time member of the Academic All-Region XI Second-Team.
