The Marshalltown Community College softball team has welcomed its newest members to the program, signing nine players to a National Letter of Intent for the 2017-18 season. The Tigers hosted their annual signing day on Saturday afternoon prior to the team's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) doubleheader.

"The 2017 recruit class is full of players that we feel will make an immediate impact in our program," stated MCC head coach Garland Shirley. "We are committed to finding players who want to be a part of building a strong tradition of softball. This group will compliment our returning players in a way that addresses specific competitive needs. The ICCAC continues to get better each year, both from an athlete and coaching perspective. These young ladies will keep us on par with the level of competition we see week to week."
