Marshalltown Community College (MCC) sophomore outfielder Shaena Robinson has been recognized as a member of the Fastpitch News Preseason All-American team. Robinson who had an outstanding freshman year for the Tigers, earned National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) 2nd Team All-American honors a season ago.
Last season Robinson finished with a Iowa Community College Athletic Conference leading 68 hits while batting in 49 runs. The staring outfielder also led the Tigers with a .493 batting average, .551 on base percentage, and a .971 slugging percentage.
Robinson and the rest of the MCC softball team will start the 2018 season Saturday, March 3 when they host Iowa Western Community College. Following their first conference game, the team will travel to Clermont, Florida from Saturday March 10 through Friday March 16 for eleven games.
