The Marshalltown Community College Athletic Department has named Shaena Robinson the Female Athlete of the Month for the month of March. Over the last month, Robinson and the rest of the MCC softball team have competed in seventeen games recording nine wins. Robinson, a returning All-American, has shined thus far, going 31-60 at the plate with 10 doubles, 10 home runs, and 30 RBIs. She currently holds a .545 on base percentage and a 1.217 slugging percentage.

"Shaena continues to be a consistent presence in the ICCAC and has earned the respect of everyone she takes the field against," stated Head Coach, Garland Shirley. "She's an incredible athlete, student, and person who represents MCC well."

Robinson and the rest of the Tiger softball team will be back on the field Wednesday, April 4 when they travel to Southeastern Community College. The Blackhawks are currently 14-17 and have yet to play a conference game. The Tigers will then travel to Fort Dodge, Iowa on Thursday, April 5 to take on the 22-15 Tritons of Iowa Central Community College. The Tigers will be back in Marshalltown on Saturday, April 7 when they take on ICCAC rival Iowa Western Community College.
