The MCC Women's Basketball Team (10-20, 5-10) put together one of their best balanced offensive attacks of the season, scoring an 84-61 win over conference opponent Southwestern Community College.
Freshman Mackenzie Gott (Oskaloosa, IA) posted her first double-double since returning to action after a concussion. Gott poured in 23 points and pulled down 13 boards to lead the Tigers. Sophomore Mady Van Metre, matched Gott scoring 23 points of her own, while sophomore Lauran Hansen (Grimes, IA) hit five three pointers, scoring 15 points.
Van Metre also contributed on the boards posting 7 rebounds. Freshman Ashley Salgado (Ottumwa, IA) led the Tigers with 11 assists.
The Tigers return home Wednesday playing host to NJCAA Division II 16th ranked DMACC. Tip-off versus the Bears is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
