The MCC Women's Basketball Team (10-19, 5-10), was unable to overcome 21 turnovers and a cold night of shooting, falling to visiting conference foe NJCAA Division II 17th ranked DMACC (22-7, 11-4) 78-55.
The Tigers hit just 26 percent of their shots from the floor and a cold 13 percent from behind the arc. MCC managed to keep the first half close by hitting a perfect 9 for 9 from the charity strike, but costly turnovers would send the Tigers to the locker room down 40-24 at the break.
The Tigers were paced offensively by freshman Mackenzie Gott (Oskaloosa, IA) with 14 points. Sophomore Shantal Tobler (Green Cove Springs, FL) contributed 13 points. Tobler pulled down a team high 8 boards to lead the Tigers.
MCC will concluded their regular season conference play on Saturday, hosting Ellsworth Community College. Tip-off time against the Panthers is scheduled for 1 pm.
