Jade Rohach, a former Clarke University volleyball player and South Tama High School standout athlete committed to join both the Marshalltown Community College women's basketball and volleyball programs for the upcoming 2014-15 season.

In 2013, Rohach was a member of the Clarke volleyball team that went 31-8 overall, reaching the Midwest Collegiate Conference semifinals. Rohach appeared in 16 matches as an outside/middle hitter, recording 21 kills.

The MCC volleyball season opens up on August 29 at the Lincoln Land Logger Invitational in Springfield, IL.

On the basketball court, Rohach, a 5'9" forward, will reunite with former South Tama teammates Kaleigh Sieck, who appeared in 15 games as a freshman for the Tigers, and Megan Wanatee who signed a Letter of Intent to play for MCC on May 30.

MCC women's basketball head coach Steve Garber pointed to Rohach's determination as a strong point in her game. "Jade has the ability to provide a work ethic in the forward position that can provide depth and consistent production on the floor from our inside positions."
