Women's basketball signs Accacia Huff of Peoria High School

The Marshalltown Community College women's basketball team has signed Accacia Huff of Peoria High School to a National Letter of Intent for the 2015-16 season.

"Accacia will help solidify some post presence that was missing last year in regards to size," stated MCC head coach Steve Garber. "Her efforts in the defense and rebounding category will be solid, while her offensive production to score will be developed throughout her time at MCC. We look forward to her growth as a player in fitting into our system of having inside play being a contributing factor to our success."

Huff averaged 6.0 points and 5.0 rebounds a game in her final season at Peoria while also adding 1.5 steals per game.

"The best person to motivate you, is yourself," said Huff in regard to reaching the next level of her playing career. "If you don't push yourself to the next level, no one will. You want to see yourself at the best. MCC will be the place I can work hard and succeed in life."
