JeAnn Hiraldo named ICCAC Player of the Week

Sophomore JeAnn Hiraldo (Ames, IA/Ames) of the Marshalltown Community College Women's Basketball team has been named this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Player of the Week. Hiraldo helped guide the Tigers to a 1-1 record last week.

The sophomore scored 22 points in each game last week at the Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel Classic hosted by MCC, a 63-46 loss to Mount Mercy JV and a 77-50 win over Little Priest Tribal College. Hiraldo is averaging 18.8 points and 12.0 rebounds per game for the Tigers, both team-highs.

Hiraldo also averaged 4.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game during the week.

Hiraldo has scored at least 20 points three times this year and has collected four double-doubles through the team's first five games. Along with points and rebounds, Hiraldo leads the team in steals, blocks, and minutes.

The Tigers host the Emerson Classic this weekend at the Student Activity Center. MCC will take on Missouri Valley JV at 7:00 PM on Friday and Mineral Area College at 4:00 PM on Saturday.
