Hiraldo lands second ICCAC Player of the Week honor

Sophomore JeAnn Hiraldo (Ames, IA/Ames) of the Marshalltown Community College Women's Basketball team has garnered her second Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Player of the Week award after averaging a double-double last week.

Hiraldo scored 18 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in a 61-52 loss to Southwestern on Wednesday, the sophomore's sixth double-double of the year, while also collecting six steals in the game. Hiraldo also poured in 25 points at Iowa Central Community College, her ninth double-figure game of the season and seventh game of at least 20 points.

Hiraldo currently leads the ICCAC with 18.7 points per game, 9.7 rebounds per game, and 28 total blocks. The sophomore also ranks second with 41 total steals on the year.

Hiraldo was also named the ICCAC Player of the Week on Nov. 17.

MCC concludes the first half of the regular season with a home contest against Iowa Lakes Community College at 7:00 PM Wednesday night. The MCC Men's Basketball team will host Iowa Lakes at 7:00 PM.
