Marshalltown, IA—Samuari Jones (Louisville, KY/Seneca) scored a career-high 11 points but the Marshalltown Community College Women's Basketball team fell to No. 15 Iowa Western Community College in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) play, 100-33.
The Tigers managed just four points in the first quarter as the Reivers built a marginal lead. MCC contributed 14 points in the second half, but it was all Iowa Western for 40 minutes of play.
Jones reached double-digits for the first time as a Tiger, knocking down a pair of three-point shots along the way. Barbara Araoz (Nequen, Argentina/Maria Auxiliadota) added 10 points while JeAnn Hiraldo (Ames, IA/Ames) scored eight points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
The Tigers entertain Sauk Valley Community College at 1:00 PM on Saturday afternoon.
