Council Bluffs, IA—The Marshalltown Community College women's basketball team suffered an 86-48 Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) loss to Iowa Western Community College on Saturday. The Tigers fall to 10-14 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
Freshman Alyssa Roth (Clinton, IA/Northeast) led MCC with 15 points on the night, knocking down three of five three-point shots to reach double-figures for the 16th time this year. Fellow freshman Lorlalei Siliga (Euless, TX/San Leandro) joined Roth in double-digits with 13 points in the loss.
The Reivers (17-7/3-0), who received votes in this week's NJCAA Division I poll jumped out to a 24-8 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, leading 41-21 at halftime.
The Tigers return home to take on Central JV at 6:00 PM on Monday night inside the Student Activity Center.
