Women's Basketball Schedule Released

The Women's Basketball team has released its schedule for the 2017-18 season. This season the Tigers have 28 games scheduled. Last season the Tigers went 11-18 and 0-4 in the conference. With only three teams in division 1 women's basketball, conference wins are more critical than ever. This season the Tigers will be able to look to returning All Region point guard, Claudia Monente. Fellow sophomores Alyssa Roth and Lorelei Siliga will also be key contributors for the Tigers this season.

The Tigers will kick off the 2017-18 season up in Cedar Falls on the University of Northern Iowa campus on Sunday October 8 where they are set to participate in three scrimmages. In the following weeks, the team will scrimmage teams at the Cedar Rapids Jamboree as well as take on Grinnell College.

The team will open its regular season on Wednesday November 1 when they will host William Penn University JV. Last season the Tigers defeated the William Penn JV squad at the Emerson Classic 74-41 and again in Oskaloosa 62-60. The game will tip off at 6:00 PM in the Student Activity Center on the Marshalltown Community College campus.

The Tigers will begin conference play on January 13 when the team will travel to Iowa Western Community College to take on the Reivers. Last season the Tigers fell to the Reivers 71-50 and 86-48. Iowa Western will travel to Marshalltown on January 31 for the second match up at 5:00 PM.

On January 27, the Tigers will host Northeast Community College. The Tigers fell to the Hawks three times last season, twice in the regular season and once in the regional tournament. This season the Tigers will travel to Norfolk on February 24 for the second match up.
