Tigers Struggle in Kansas City

The women's basketball team traveled to Kansas City, Kansas Saturday afternoon to take on the Blue Devils of Kansas City Kansas Community College. The Blue Devils entered the game with a 11-1 record while averaging over 85 points per game and a perfect 7-0 record at home. The Tigers are coming off a 73-50 victory over the Braves of Black Hawk College that saw the Tigers shoot 50% from the field collectively. Saturday afternoon the Tigers would have issues scoring and would fall to the Blue Devils 68-37.

The Tigers would struggle mightily on offense as the team shot 26% from the field and 31% from the free throw line. Alyssa Roth would lead the Tigers in scoring, going 3-11 from the field for 8 points on the day. The Blue Devils would shot 43% collectively with help from Niji Collier who went 7-10 from the field for 15 points.

The 5-6 Tigers will be back in action Wednesday (12/6) when they travel to Cedar Rapids to take on Kirkwood Community College. The Eagles are currently 7-2 after defeating Iowa Western on Saturday afternoon.
