November MCC Female Athlete of the Month: Loralei Siliga

The Marshalltown Community College Athletic Department is pleased to announce Loralei Siliga has been named MCC's Female Athlete of the Month for November. Loralei is a sophomore forward on the women's basketball team. In the first month of regular season play, Siliga has averaged 20.4 points per game while bringing in nine rebounds a game. She has been an efficient shooter all season long shooting 48.8% from the field and has a team high six double-doubles.

"Loralei has had a great start to the season," stated head women's basketball coach Steve Garber. "Not only has she done a good job scoring but she is a leader on and off the court."

The women's basketball team will get back on the hardwood Wednesday December 6 when they travel to Cedar Rapids to take on the Eagles of Kirkwood Community College. Siliga and the rest of the women's basketball team will have their hands full with a skilled Kirkwood team who averages 74 points per game and collectively shoots 44% from the field. The game will be streamed live on the Kirkwood athletic website with links posted on MCC athletics social media platforms.
