Women Drop A Game Against Concordia

The MCC women's basketball team traveled to Seward, Nebraska to take on the Bulldogs of Concordia University JV Friday night. The Tigers have struggled as of late going 2-8 in their last 10 games. The Tigers were unable to pick up the victory on the road, dropping the game 61-54.

Sophomores Alyssa Roth and Loralei Siliga led the Tigers in scoring with 18 and 19 points respectively. Alyssa Roth has played well since the holiday break, averaging 16 points a game since. Loralei Siliga recorded her 13th game in double digits Friday night.

"We got down early and couldn't make up the difference tonight," stated Head Coach Steve Garber. "We showed moments of great basketball but we haven't sustained that over the entire game. We get another chance tomorrow and hopefully we get a better result."

The women's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Grand Island, Nebraska to take on the 5-14 Raiders of Central Community College. The 7-13 Tigers will be tested against the Raiders who average 63 points per game.
