Tigers Fall to Statesmen

The MCC women's basketball team hit the hardwood Thursday night, traveling to Oskaloosa, Iowa for a 6 o'clock matchup with the William Penn JV squad. The Tigers have struggled as of late, dropping their last two games against Northeast Community College and Iowa Western Community College. The Tigers would continue to struggle, falling to the Statesmen 65-59.

The Tigers had a hard time offensively shooting just 32% collectively. Alyssa Roth continued her great play, recording 16 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Claudia Morente added 14 points and 4 assists on the night and Loralei Siliga just missed out on her eighth double double of the season, recording nine points and grabbing ten rebounds.

The Tigers will be back in action Wednesday, February 7 when the Bears of DMACC come to the Student Activity Center. The Bears are currently ranked #14 in the latest NJCAA Division II Rankings and hold a 17-4 record.  The game will tip off at 5:30 pm in the Student Activity Center with live stream links posted on mccathletics.com and on MCC Athletics social media platforms.
