Tigers Pick Up Win in Winnebago

The MCC women's basketball team made the trip to Little Priest Tribal College Saturday afternoon to take on the 9-17 Warriors. Saturday's game would be the third time this season the two teams played, with both previous games going to the Tigers. The Tigers got the clean sweep of the Warriors, winning 64-49.

Alyssa Roth had one of her best games as a Tiger, shooting 8-13 from the field while going 7-8 from the free throw line for 25 points. Roth also dominated the boards for the Tigers, grabbing eleven rebounds. Sophomore Loralei Siliga added 17 points, shooting 5-13 from the field while making 5-6 free throws. Freshman Anna Jaumandreu, who averages 2.6 points per game, has played well the last week, scored ten points and grabbed three rebounds. Sophomores Claudia Morente added five points and Sarah Kavanh scored four points.

"It's always hard to beat a team three times," stated Head Coach Steve Garber. "We played well tonight, and we were able to execute and limited our mistakes."

The Tigers will travel to Northeast Community College Saturday, February 24 for their last regular season game of the year. The Tigers will look to pick up their first ICCAC win of the season against the Hawks. Previously, the Tigers fell to the Hawks 67-43 in the Student Activity Center back in January. Saturday's game is set to tip off at 5:00.
